Message from the Board of Trustees

Dear Congregants,

The seasons just can’t seem to make up their mind… Hopefully this monthly missive finds you in a sunny spot outside or perhaps indoors with a warm mug in your hands.

The Board of Trustees met this past Monday, 4/20, over Zoom. We are still working out if we can offer remote observation of future in-person meetings, like our next one on 5/18.  Hard copies of this month’s meeting notes will be posted this Sunday, 4/26, and digital access will be available then as well.

There were no votes that happened at this meeting, but a few e-votes to report between our meetings this month:

  • 4/3/2026 – Approved “The BOT and the Board of EHF will hold a joint workshop to develop a SWOT Analysis regarding uses for our sanctuary building.  A SWOT analysis stands for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats, and is a tool for planning.  The facilitator of the workshop will submit the final SWOT report to the BOT, which will also be shared with the congregation.  There will be no cost to the congregation for this workshop.” –> a majority approve of the UUC Board of Trustees participating in a SWOT analysis with the EHF Board

  • 4/6/2026 — Approved Timeline and Annual Meeting Schedule

  • 4/17 — Approved Safety Plan

The Board also wanted to commend Rose for chairing and running the Stewardship Campaign this year! There is still some time (but not a lot) for pledges to be turned in or adjusted for Fiscal Year 2026-2027. The more information the Finance Committee and the Board has to work with affords us the ability to come up with a more accurate budget proposal to put forward for the Annual Meeting in June.

The next board Q&A before services will be on 5/3 at 9:30am. All of the Board’s inboxes remain open for communication as usual, and our next monthly meeting will be on 5/18, in-person at 7pm in the Sanctuary.

Yours in Service,

Sarah Prosser – UUC Stamford Board of Trustees Clerk
