Message from the Board of Trustees

Dear Congregants,

The Board of Trustees had a busy February meeting this past Monday on 2/16 over Zoom. The committees that help our congregation function have been hard at work, and we look forward to the upcoming Stewardship campaign as well as the continued coordinated efforts of all the committees and their members who keep things rolling in the short and long term.

We held one e-vote between our January and February meetings where the MOU between Emerson Hall Foundation and UUC was approved and signed.

At this meeting the Board voted and approved the following:
sabbatical leave for Rev. Terri
hosting the Chili Cook-Off fundraiser on 3/1
adopted the RE Children’s Safety Policy
enter into a contract with Optimum to provide Wifi to the Sanctuary (keep your eye out for Zoom services soon!)
co-sponsor a 3/15 poetry event to raise funds for families impacted by ICE
approved a monthly Coffee Hour hosting schedule, split amongst the committees for responsibility
Whew, that was a lot! For those who like to see the full notes posted in the Community Room, they will be available on 2/22.

We adjusted our next BoT meeting to 3/23 to split the difference with some 5 Monday months, and will be in-person at 7pm in the Sanctuary. Congregants are welcome to observe, and if Zoom capabilities are up and running by then, a link will be sent out.

Our monthly Q&A session will be 3/1 at 9:30am before the service, and our inboxes remain open like usual for any congregant questions, comments, or concerns.

Counting down the days to Spring,
Sarah Prosser – UUC Stamford Board of Trustees Clerk
