Message from the Board of Trustees
Dear Congregants,
Welcome to 2026! The Board had our January meeting this past Monday, 1/19. As we all prepare for the weather ahead of us this weekend, if we need to hold services remotely again, there will be a delay in January’s hard copy of the minutes making it onto the Community Room board. I have been regularly uploading minutes for digital record keeping, and congregants may view them here and January’s notes will be there in time for Sunday.
As usual though, I am sharing any votes here!
There were no e-votes between our meetings to share, and we did have two motions passed at Monday’s meeting.
Despite the chill in the weather, we are looking ahead to warmer times for progressing on the Metcalf House porch, and approved the motion for retaining a contractor to move forward with seeking a building permit and pricing out different material costs for the project that the Building and Grounds Committee has been diligently keeping tabs on.
The other motion that passed adjusts when we host our pre-services Q&A sessions with the Board members to the First Sunday of the month. The time will remain the same with Board members available from 9:30 to the start of service in the Community Room. We look forward to chatting with any congregants and members who have thoughts or questions they’d like to share with us.
For those who prefer or need digital communication, our emails remain open as usual, and I wanted to highlight an additional avenue for communication with the entire Board: board@uucstamford.org All members of the Board receive messages sent there, including Rev. Terri as she is an ex officio member of the Board.
Our next meeting will be on Zoom on 2/16 at 7pm. Congregants are welcome to sign on and observe!
Warm winter blessings,
Sarah Prosser – UUC Stamford Board of Trustees Clerk
