Message from the Board of Trustees

Dear Congregants,

The Board had our November meeting on 11/17 in person in the Sanctuary this month. The minutes will be posted this weekend, and members of the Board will be available on 11/30 and 12/7 a half hour before services to listen to comments, questions, and for general conversation. I’d be remiss if I didn’t also include that our emails also remain an important and available option for communication as well.

We had some e-votes and identified one correction to issue:
Correction of October’s reported recorded votes: 9/29 – approved one-time pest Management by JP McHale
10/25 – approved of accepting the funds from EHF to repair the doors, and Buildings and Ground committee managing the project
11/11 – approved of proceeding with Hoffman Energy for the heating repairs to RE/Admin Building and Metcalf House
11/12 – approved proceeding with Johnson Controls on fire protection and requesting an adjustment on proposed increases in cost over 5 year period
There are lots of moving parts happening within the congregation, especially as it pertains to Fundraising (have you signed up to help with the Cocoa Caper yet?) and Buildings and Grounds.

While the Board didn’t have anything to share from in-person votes, there is an upcoming opportunity for UUC members to vote on the Evergreen proposal that was the topic of discussion this past Sunday after services. Members, please keep an eye on your inboxes for a message that includes copies of the proposals, feedback, and the meeting minutes and summation from 11/16’s discussion. For those who are unable to attend services on 11/23 and vote after them, there is an option to e-vote included in that message as well.

If you are a member and have not received this message by Friday, please email me (sarahp@uucstamford.org) and I will make sure you get a copy.

Our next Board meeting will be on 12/15 at 7pm on Zoom. Congregants are welcome to hop on and listen in!

Sincerely,
Sarah Prosser – UUC Stamford Board of Trustees Clerk.
