Sunday Morning Exploration in RE
This year we will be exploring world religions through the viewfinder of religious and cultural festivals, holidays and holydays. This is a hands-on curriculum that uses stories, crafts and food to bring the flavor of different traditions alive. In addition to world religions, the children will be engaged every week in a social justice campaign to collect food for a local pantry. They will learn how to run a campaign, measure results, and celebrate their accomplishments with the congregation. Our class looks forward to sharing more information about our campaign as they make decisions about who to collect food for.

Our first couple of faiths and/or feast days explored will be the Jewish New Year and the feast of St. Francis. This Sunday, the 14th, children will gather with their families for a Time For All Ages before going to the classroom. We can always use more helping hands: volunteers who serve as the second adult in class. No prep, just your presence. To volunteer please contact our DRE Jeanne Nametz at dre@uucstamford.org.
