Dear Parents & Caregivers,
This past Sunday we celebrated the Jewish New Year and entered our giving space of Club Kindness by sharing the foods we brought in to donate.
This coming Sunday we will be celebrating the feast of St. Francis and learn about a Unitarian who founded the ASPCA! To that end, the children will decorate a jar for donations for the local animal shelter. The jar will be on the food table during coffee hour. Offerings will be greatly accepted!
The Social Action Youth Group: Stuff a Trunk Food Drive
The Social Action Youth Group is organizing a Stuff a Trunk to benefit families whose providers and caretakers have been detained by ICE. On October 25th at 3 pm at UUC, they will unpack trunks filled with nonperishable food items, diapers, toiletries and other essential items needed. We invite you to fill your trunk or gather items from friends and family and to donate to this effort. See the flyer for a list of items.
If you have any ideas for youth activities or want to get involved with the youth please contact Diana Martinez at dianamartinezrasekh@gmail.com.
Childcare & Volunteering
We offer childcare for children four and under in our community room. Would you consider volunteering as a class assistant to provide a second adult in our Sunday class? No prep just your presence! Please contact Jeanne Nametz, dre@uucstamford.org if you can help.
