Dr. King clearly saw that militaristic adventures abroad caused tremendous hardship and suffering at home. We have not yet learned the lessons he tried to teach us in his “Beyond Vietnam” speech. The speech is far less known than his “I Have a Dream” speech, but it is just as powerful, poignant and relevant today.
