Over and over again we have been told by our immigrant friends and neighbors how much our presence and support matters. Thank you for your willingness to show up and join in solidarity with those most at risk.
We are currently averaging between 2-4 accompaniments per week at the courthouse in Stamford. At the same time, needs are expanding, with requests for accompaniment to other places- the DMV, medical appointments, and more – also being received. As more members of the Immigrant community in Stamford and Norwalk have been impacted by ICE detention and deportation, fear has increased. Our need for companions continues to grow.
