Friday, April 14th, 7:30 – 8:30 PM – A Benefit Concert at UUC: Solo Piano Recital with Marc Chan – UUC Social Souls invites you to get together with fellow music lovers for live music in UUC’s Sanctuary! Marc Chan, a professional pianist and local composer, will be performing a special program featuring pieces by Domenico Scarlatti (an Italian Baroque composer) and Jerome Kern (an American songwriter who wrote the music for Show Boat). As an additional treat, Marc has saved a spot in the program for an improvisation inspired by audience member participation. Come to enjoy the music and, if you’re feeling creative, come prepared to suggest a melody for the improvisation! Doors open at 7 PM. No ticket necessary, but donations of any amount (cash or Venmo) are appreciated (suggested donation: $10-20 per person). 50% of the donations will go towards the UU’s efforts to maintain our grand piano and repair the organ for future concerts.
